Edison High School travels to Division One Regional Bowl Game
The Edison High football team's quest for a state title continues in Southern California.

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Edison High football team's quest for a state title continues in Southern California.

On campus Thursday morning, players and coaches loaded up on charter buses. Edison will play Oceanside in the Division One Regional Bowl game in San Diego.

The Tigers beat Liberty out of Bakersfield in a thrilling game at Sunnyside Stadium last week. There are reports of a big rainmaker in Southern California on Friday and the faculty is aware of the potential delays getting down there.

"We are watching the weather forecast. I hope that they get there in time. They're leaving early in the morning. It's always a concern if the Grapevine closes, or if there's snow or winds are too out of hand. So, we want to make sure they get there and support our team. Go Tigers!" said Rachel Quinto, Edison High School.

"The bigger the game is, we don't change our motto. We're still a family based team. We just go out and handle our business and this is a business trip," said Khai Williams, Edison High Running Back.

Edison will look to be the second Central Valley high school in as many years to win a regional bowl game. Bakersfield High won its game and went on to win the state title in 2013.
