Good Sports - Neil Gomez

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Meet Neil Gomez.

"He's the guy at school. Everybody knows Neil," says football head coach Dustin Caropreso.

Neil is a Los Banos High Student who loves his school and his football team.

"Fun. Love it very much," said Gomez.

Neil took his passion for football and put it to use. You can find him on the sidelines at every home game.

"Neil's teacher came up to me last year and asked if he could come down on the sidelines pass out waters and Gatorade and I said absolutely," said Caropreso.

"We started bringing him out October of last year and he was looking forward to starting again this year," said Neil's teacher Jennifer Ramos.

"He's a great kid has a little bit of some learning issues but you would never know."

"When he goes out for lunch. He says hi to a lot of people. People say 'Hi Neil' and he's just as happy as ever," said Los Banos cheerleader Dominique Pena.

Nothing makes him happier than being on the sidelines of the Tigers football games.

"He's got a smile on his face. Every single day and it brings a smile to my face to have him in our program.He's an inspiration to everybody," said Caropreso.
