Fresno Grizzly season ticket holders, Milana Lock and Dan Shydler show their support for the Grizzlies

Fresno, Calif. (KFSN) -- For the better part of the last decade, Fresno Grizzly season ticket holders, Milana Lock and Dan Shydler show their support for the hometown nine with signs, shirts, and jerseys.

"I think they see that we act like a couple of loons up here and they probably figure we didn't take our medication that morning, said Shydler.

There is a method to madness--everything is well thought out.

"Oh we probably have a couple dozen customized depending on the season and team," said Lock.

"We think of the players. We think of the things, who's pitching that day. What do we feel that might be something that will give a little motivation," said Shydler.

Signs in the stands translate to play on the field.

"It's great to see all the people support us. Year after year I've been here, they come in with their signs and their jerseys and their motivational talk. It's kind of nice," said Tony Defrancesco, Grizzlies manager.

"The one that sticks out most to me is believe in yourself. It's funny I see that because every time I go to the plate those are the 3 words I always say to myself," said Tony Kemp, Grizzlies Infielder.

"A lot of these players have been playing since they were 4 or 5 and they are 24, 25, 26 now. So this is a 20-year journey. The least we can do is support their journey," said Lock.

Season after season, win or loss fans will be there cheering on their Grizzlies.

"You connect with each other. You recognize and acknowledge each other. You are able to share stories and experiences with each other which is priceless--you can't get that anywhere else," said Shydler.

"Fan support is huge, we wouldn't be where we are without them," said Kemp.
