Some big stars were in awe of Stephen Curry's best NBA Finals performance

Stephen Curry hadn't quite been his MVP self in these NBA Finals ... until Sunday.

In a 104-91 Game 5 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers -- one that gave his Golden State Warriors a 3-2 series lead -- Curry scored 37 points on 23 shots and added seven rebounds and four assists. He also hit a couple of late dagger 3-pointers, including this nasty one over onetime reputed Curry stopper Matthew Dellavedova.

The old "real recognize real" phrase applies -- but perhaps never more than Sunday night, when stars and notable names in all aspects of life showed their love for Curry and his impressive battle with the doing-a-lot-himself LeBron James (40 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists in Game 5).

Yep, it takes a pretty impressive player to win over actors (Union, Levi and ESPYS host McHale), rappers (Common and Lecrae) and multiple MVPs in his own and other sports (Nash, Rodgers and Trout).

Guess that's why he's the current MVP himself.
