The Stockholm Men's Synchronized Swimming Team are three-time world champions, but you wouldn't know it from watching this performance. That's because they're completely drunk.

In a public service announcement highlighting the dangers of drinking while swimming, the team takes to the water to perform one of their award-winning routines while intoxicated.

To prepare for filming, the team drank copious amounts of alcohol, with many of them hitting well above the legal driving limit in the U.S. One diver had a .14 blood alcohol content, according to a breathalyzer.

Too drunk to drive also means too drunk to swim, this video showed. The divers' cringe-worthy attempts to perform were constantly interrupted as they kept running into each other and flailing around. To be safe during filming, a certified rescue diver, a doctor and two lifeguards were on hand during filming, and no one was hurt.

Though the video is light-hearted, it's meant to prove a serious point: Swimming, like driving, does not mix well with alcohol. Trygg-Hansa, the insurance company that posted the video, is hoping to raise awareness in Sweden.

"In the month of July, Swedish water-related accidents cost more lives than road traffic accidents," they wrote. "Most of the drowning victims were men and the majority had consumed alcohol."

Their message, though, extends beyond Sweden. The company is asking everyone who sees the video to pledge not to go swimming while drunk.
