FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Members of the Fresno Police Department Traffic Bureau took on a different challenge on Saturday -- a game of wheelchair basketball.

The officers played the Fresno Wheelers at Peoples Church. Both teams followed the rules of traditional basketball, but played in wheelchairs.

The Wheelers came away with the 28-16 win. The law enforcement team acknowledged getting schooled in the game, but the Wheelers remained humble about their victory.

"We gained the upper advantage against them and we played hard," said Logan Stewart of the Fresno Wheelers.

"The kids are great, they're really fantastic athletes. They can shoot that ball, they can dribble it, and they really took us to town today," said Cmdr. Andy Hall of the FPD Traffic Bureau.

Members of the Adaptive Sports Program at Children's Hospital Central California are part of the Fresno Wheelers. The group plays for charity, with proceeds going back to the hospital.
