Suspect arrested in armed Exeter home invasion

EXETER, Calif. (KFSN) -- Exeter police officers have arrested 42-year-old Richard Janoiko in connection to a home invasion robbery of an elderly couple.

Last Sunday, police say Janoiko entered the victims home before pulling out a knife.

During the robbery, Janoiko, tied and gagged the victims before cutting one of the victim's throats and also attempted to smother them with a pillow before making off with their car and several items of property.

Thursday, detectives managed to track Janoiko to a home in Porterville where they arrested him without incident.
