Fresno Police cadet involved in Southwest Fresno crash

FRESNO, Calif. -- A Fresno Police cadet could face charges after a crash in Southwest Fresno.

The crash happened around seven this morning near Jensen and Elm. Investigators say the cadet was driving a police van when he sideswiped a Toyota in front on him -- damaging both cars.

"The driver of the Toyota is unlicensed, so he is going to be cited for that. And that car will be impounded", said Lt. Joe Gomez, Fresno Police Department.

Officers said the commander is investigating what happened and if the cadet will face charges.
