Highway 180 back open after Hill Fire prompts closure
Cal Fire Fresno County says two wildfires have burned 68 acres and are 20 percent contained.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Cal Fire Fresno County says two wildfires have burned 68 acres and are 20 percent contained.

The California Department of Transportation is reporting that Highway 180 has reopened in the Squaw Valley area after authorities closed the road due to the fires on Sunday evening. Highway 63 is expected to stay closed until 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

Several wildfires were reported in the Squaw Valley area on Sunday night before six o'clock. The fires prompted authorities to close Highway 180 between South Hills Valley Road and Ruth Hill Road.

Cal Fire says two fires, which they are collectively calling the 'Hill Fire,' continues to burn in the area; but they say they have stopped forward progress.
