FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A wrong way driver is expected to face charges after authorities say one person was killed, and another taken to the hospital, in a Southeast Fresno crash.

Authorities say a suspect driving a black Nissan was going west on eastbound Highway 180 near Fowler around 12:30 a.m. on Friday. They say he collided head on with a Honda that was carrying two people.

The driver of the Honda died at the scene, and a passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Their names haven't been released.

Authorities believe the suspect, who was not injured, was drinking before the accident. He's expected to be charged with felony DUI.
