Valley students perfect the 'subscription box'
Patino High School students have an idea that comes perfectly in a box or a subscription box called Chronicle.

FRESNO,Calif. -- Patino High School students have an idea that comes perfectly in a box or a subscription box called Chronicle.

Jayden Diaz is one the founders -- their idea is to target young men with products they need and want. Urban Crow and Makeup 4 Men are some of some local companies that are featured in the box.

"We're basically combining every subscription box and giving you a bang for your buck. We're giving you your clothing, your clothing accessories, your razors, your razor accessories, your facial wash," Diaz said. "We're giving everything you could need in a store through our online service at the cheapest price possible."

There's also other products and accessories. One monthly membership is about $35 and you can get to keep it. They've already sold a handful of boxes and are connecting with people online.

Subscription boxes have become a craze. According to Hitwise there are about 5.7 million subscription box shoppers in the U.S. from food to fashion and more. The students started working on this project their junior year at Patino, it's now become their passion.

The students say they've learned valuable lessons from this business.

"I've learned a lot about teamwork and how to do online social media, designs, all that kind of stuff," Villegas said.

Most customers ordering probably don't know they are a group of high school students. The team has made $550 in sales online and believe this idea could be the next money making idea.
