Visalia child murderer sentenced to 25 years to life

In June, Trevor Bishop was found guilty of second-degree murder, as well as assault on a child causing death, after he beat his girlfriend's three-year-old son.

The boy, Jimmy Horton, had been beaten so bad that he was in a coma for nearly a year before he died.

Jimmy's mother, Desie Horton was sentenced to six months in jail and three years of probation after she was also found guilty of misdemeanor child abuse in June.
