Chaffee Zoo animals kept cool in scorching heat

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The zoo held their annual ice-themed animal enrichment day on Saturday.

Animals throughout the zoo were all treated to a variety of icy treats.

The big ice blocks were donated by the Arctic Glacier for the animals to enjoy.

Zookeepers say the animals love playing and chewing on the ice all day long, as temperatures reach triple digits in the summer.
