Funnel cloud touches down near Sacramento

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A funnel cloud was caught on camera Thursday in El Dorado, California.

It came as the National Weather Service put a tornado warning in effect until 4:30 p.m. local time for counties east of Sacramento. People in the area were urged to go to the lowest level of the building they were in and avoid windows.

The weather service in Sacramento is also investigating a separate reported tornado sighting in the Modesto area.

Local authorities reported several trees and power lines were downed by the funnel cloud.

No injuries were reported.
