VIDEO: How long does it take for 300lbs of ice to melt in the Valley heat?

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- We had a bit of chilly fun in the ABC30 parking lot. We picked up a 300 pound block of ice at Arctic Glacier Premium Ice in Fresno to see how long it would take to melt in the Central Valley sun.

We set up a live stream on our Facebook page all afternoon with many of you guessing how long until it melted.

It took about six and a half hours before the block broke apart and fell on the asphalt.
