FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- With significant snow expected at higher elevations from incoming storms, authorities in Yosemite said they will be closing Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road.

Tioga Road will close at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th and Glacier Point Road will close two hours later at 5 p.m. Authorities said both roads will remain closed until further notice. However, they typically remain closed throughout the winter.

During the winter months all vehicles are required to carry tire chains, even if their car is equipped with four-wheel drive, while driving in the Yosemite.
