Wildfire in Mariposa County forces evacuations along Cathedral Spires Road

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are calling for residents to evacuate after a wildfire broke out in Mariposa County Sunday.

The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office has ordered all residents along Cathedral Spires Road and Sentinel Dome Road to leave while crews battle the blaze.

Firefighters haven't said how many acres the fire has burned or containment numbers.

An evacuation center has been set up by the Red Cross at 39800 Fresno Flats Rd, Oakhurst.
