2 injured after man tries to stab them with sword

Two people were injured after a man pulled out a sword and tried to stab them.

It happened near Turner Street and Center Avenue just after 11 p.m. Saturday night.

Police say 29-year-old David Herrera tried to stab a man with a sword. That man blocked it with his hand, receiving a deep cut. Herrera then kicked a second victim in the face.

Herrera is now in custody for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
