FBI raids Parachute Center near Lodi where 5 fatal skydiving accidents happened

LODI, Calif. (KFSN) -- At Lodi Parachute Center the action is not in the sky but on the specks below. FBI agents swarmed the skydiving facility Tuesday, serving a search warrant.

It's a day Francine Turner has been waiting for. The facility's deadly history has been under heavy scrutiny for years.

Between 2016 and 2017, five people died during skydiving jumps that took off from the facility. Francine's son, Tyler, was one of the victims -- his instructor was not properly trained.

"Honestly, I don't think they should be in operation anymore, they're not worthy of running a business like that. They've demonstrated already the numerous deaths and accidents over the years and nothing has happened so far," Turner said.

Agents would not elaborate on what they were searching for, or what was found. However, they did spend more than an hour inside emerging with boxes of evidence.

The center has been accused of lax training and safety violations in the past. Following Tyler's accident, the U.S. Parachute Association revoked the memberships of several instructors.

Tyler's family is waiting to hear more details about the search warrant.

For now, no arrests have been made.
