Woman killed after being hit by car in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman in her mid-60's is dead after being hit by car in Central Fresno Tuesday night.

Fresno Police say the accident happened around 5:45 pm, near Fresno and White Street.

Police say the woman was crossing the street when she was hit. There is no crosswalk in the area.

The driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with the police investigation.

Authorities do not know if alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash at this time.
