1 killed after vehicle hits tree, flips over on south side of Hwy 180

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person has died in a crash near Squaw Valley Friday night.

CHP officers say the driver hit a tree just off Highway 180 near Highway 63, west of Hills Valley at about 9:30 p.m.

The red Toyota 4Runner flipped upside down and firefighters tried to pull the victim out for treatment, but the driver died before they could help.
