Finding the right Halloween costume
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Halloween is just a couple days away and time is running out to find that perfect costume for you, your kids and your four-legged friend.
More than 150 million Americans will spend some cash this spooky holiday.
According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), total spending in 2015 will top $6.9 billion, with the average American celebrating planning to spend $74 on decorations, candy, costumes and more. More costumes than ever will be flying off the shelves as Americans gear up to celebrate the spookiest holiday of the year.
The NRF says Minions, Star Wars and Disney's Frozen characters won't be hard to find this Halloween as adults, children and even pets will be dressed as these beloved pop culture favorites. Maintaining their 11 year reign, princess costumes will once again top the children's costume list with an estimated 3.2 million tiny tots looking to dress the part. Another 2 million will be their favorite Disney "Frozen" character. Additionally, more than 1.8 million children will don a "Star Wars" costume and 1 million will select a little yellow minion costume as they take to the streets this Halloween.
