Los Banos woman arrested after baby left in hot car

LOS BANOS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Los Banos woman is in jail after police say she left her 19-month-old child in a car unattended.

Police say it all happened at a Walmart in Los Banos a baby boy left in the car in 90-degree weather.

Authorities say 37-year-old Jennifer Kruppstadt is responsible for leaving that young child alone. She was arrested Friday for endangering her own child.

Officers say a concerned citizen walking to their car noticed Kruppstadt's kid strapped in a car seat with all of the windows rolled up.

Child Protective Services took the child and later turned the 19-month old over to his father after an inspection of the home was completed.
