Mistrial declared in Todd Pate murder trial

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A judge declared a mistrial Monday in the trial of a Hanford man accused of killing his wife.

Jurors were hung 11 to 1 with the majority in favor of a guilty verdict against Todd Pate, who is accused of killing his wife Melanie at their Hanford home in 2013.

Another trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 17, according to the Kings County District Attorney's Office.
