Corcoran pastor arrested for hitting churchgoer

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A pastor in Corcoran was arrested Sunday for attacking a churchgoer, police said.

Corcoran Police said Pastor Tupou Tuoipultu of United Methodist Church struck a 61-year-old female parishioner on the face after an argument. The woman reported the incident to police who then arrested Tuoipultu.

Tuoipultu, 61, admitted to hitting the victim and was cited.

The victim is okay, police said.
