NEW YORK -- The CMA Awards are back with hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

The country superstars return for their ninth time to host this very special 50th anniversary year.

They say they just want to get through this show before even imagining hosting a 10th time or trying to break Vince Gill's record of 12 times.

Paisley and Underwood both agree that the opening number is a work of art that will give viewers a heartwarming experience as stars from years past all come together.

"It's going to be a moment that people talk about for a long time to come," Underwood said.

They said this time hosting will be a unique experience as they are not just recapping one year of music, but 50.

As for the "Best New Artist" category, they seem glad they aren't judges!

"When it comes the new artist thing, now that we've both sort of won it, I'm kind of glad to sit back and let that category shake out on its own and not sort of place bets, or get too invested," Paisley said as he wished Underwood luck on her many nominations.

"The 50th Annual CMA Awards" will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 2 from 8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT, on the ABC Television Network.
