The shooting happened around 2:45 p.m. near Clay and Clark Avenues. Police said a woman and her sister were walking down the street when a white-two door car pulled alongside her and started firing.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A partially-blind woman is recovering following a drive-by shooting central Fresno.

The shooting happened around 2:45 p.m. near Clay and Clark Avenues. Police said a woman and her sister were walking down the street when a white two-door car pulled alongside her and started firing.

The victim was hit in the leg and was transported to the hospital but is expected to be okay. The suspect managed to get away and police are now questioning witnesses in the area.

Officers do not believe the woman was the target in the shooting, and it's still unclear if the incident is gang-related.
