Fresno State Wrestling mat revealed for first time

The Fresno State Bulldogs official twitter account posted a picture showing the brand new wrestling mat rolled out for the first time at the Save Mart Center.

The Bulldogs are returning to the mat after more than a decade.

Wrestling was removed back in 2006 to help with Title IX compliance but returned with the arrival of University President Joseph Castro and athletic director Jim Bartko.

The new season starts this winter.

University of Northern Iowa joins Fresno State as newcomers this upcoming season. Their additions mean the Big 12 will have twelve teams in its conference.
