Tesla Comes to Kettelman City
The electric car company opened one of its largest Supercharger stations in the U.S.

KETTLEMAN CITY, Calif. (KFSN) -- On Wednesday, the electric car company opened one of its largest Supercharger stations in the U.S., hoping to bridge the gap between the Bay Area and Los Angeles.

Forty Superchargers and a convenient location have attracted dozens including Priti Golechha and her family who drive through Kettleman City often.

"It is very useful," said Golechha. "It is great for the families especially if you want to take a stop. I would prefer that we have something like this on the way. It is a great idea and I think Elon Musk should be opening more of them."

Apart from charging, customers can also take advantage of the 24-hour supercharger lounge-- a one of a kind space offering food, coffee, and Wi-Fi.

"We were very happy when we came in," said Golechha. "I was like, oh wow there is a lounge. we have kids as you can see and wanted to have some space for them to run around and crawl around for the baby."

Customers are not the only ones excited about the station. Meko Feltus is the general manager of Bravo Farms, one of the biggest business in Kettleman City. He said he is optimistic about the new addition.

"Hopefully, the station brings more volume and people to the area," said Feltus. "Kettleman City is still growing and expanding and we like to support our local businesses. Hopefully, that will increase volume in this area."

With the holiday season quickly approaching the Supercharger station is not only giving travelers a new unique space, but another reason to stop in Kettleman City.
