FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The spirit of the holiday season is alive and well in Old Town Clovis, as businesses get ready for one enchanted evening.

"This is our kick off to the holiday season. It's very important that our merchants get the exposure and get a little bit ahead of the big box stores and malls," said Carole Lester.

People can enjoy hot chocolate, music from carolers and even free carriage rides, all while shopping.

Customers will also have the chance to win free money via script in a drawing--43 businesses are participating, including Frost Oak Creek Creations. Tom Frost is one of the owners.

"It kind of kicks off the season, you are here, you are telling them about it, it lets everybody know we are here we are ready to business for the season and come on down," said Tom Frost.

It is expected to rain, but frost is not worried.

"You know it rained about I think four years ago and it lightened up in the evening and the crowd still came out. It kind of makes it mystical in a way," said Frost.

Teresa Pries Owens Revival 23, a clothing and fragrance store-- she says she will not let a little water dampen her holiday spirit.

"I don't think the rain will affect us, people want to have that holiday experience and the rain may add to the magical evening that we have here, it is going to feel like the holidays," said Pries.
