Trader Joe's recalls several of its packaged salads

The grocery chain posted to its website saying that packages of white meat chicken salad, curried white chicken deli salad and turkey cranberry apple salad sold in some areas could be contaminated with shards of glass or hard plastic.

The warning applies to Trader Joe's stores here in California.

The chain is apologizing and urging customers to discard the products or return them for a refund.
