TRAFFIC ALERT: Clovis and Herndon intersection reopens after pipe burst

A busy Clovis intersection partially closed since last Friday reopened late Tuesday afternoon.

In a tweet, the Clovis Police Department it was opening one day ahead of schedule.

A plastic water pipe burst last Friday at Herndon and Clovis.

The road was partially closed all weekend while crews worked to fix the leak and repave the intersection.

The cause of the broken pipe is under investigation.

Damage is estimated at $50,000 to $100,000.
