FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A home security camera catches a woman red-handed, stealing a package from a Clovis doorstep and leaving in her blue Saturn.

Michael Rodriguez is frustrated that was his package that was stolen near his front door

"You feel violated. You feel like a victim then it switches from shock to anger--what the heck. How does this happen? How does this happen in my community," said Rodriguez.

Rodriguez says he immediately called the police and then uploaded the package stealing video to social media. The response he got was overwhelming.

"Within 10 to15 minutes the post had a couple of hundred and then a thousand shares and likes and views, and people starting saying we know this lady. She has stolen packages from our house as well."

Local law enforcement is aware of this women as well. This is not the first time she's walked up someone's driveway to steal a doorstep delivery.

"I can only speak for the Clovis Police Department where we take this stuff very seriously," said Chris Hutchinson.

Authorities say if this happens to you-do not hesitate to call the police.

"I can speak from personal experiences that these cases can be complex but it is something we go after."

To avoid falling victim to porch pirates, you could always have packages delivered to work or a trusted neighbor. Amazon has also set up locker locations throughout the Valley.

"We're looking for some accountability and justice. I realize it's not highly valued dollars like in the thousands stolen from me but if there was any time of laws that would hold these folks accountable we would love to see that," said Rodriguez.
