Friday a seven-man team of deputies from the Madera County Sheriff's Office began a 24-hour team workout.

The fitness test began Friday at 3 p.m. and ended Saturday at the same time.

The sheriff's office says the challenge is the ultimate test of physical and mental strength.

Deputies had to be awake and exercising for the entire 24 hours.

The test was part of a fundraiser to raise money for a 120-mile race they will complete in March when they race from Baker, California to Las Vegas, Nevada.
