3 people sent to hospital after shooting that spans from Central to Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Several people are being treated at the hospital following a series of early morning shootings that span from Central to Northwest Fresno.

There was heavy police presence off Blackstone and Shaw and the crime scene went all the way down to Dakota. Right now, from Dakota to Ashlan northbound lanes are closed.

Officers got a call around two Friday morning from a female shooting victim at the Shell gas station near Dakota and Blackstone. Officers later found another vehicle with one gunshot victim.

Three people were sent to the hospital, two are stable and one is in critical condition.

Officers tell us it is still early in their investigation but believe the person in that car was targeted, saying this started as a disturbance down the street. It is unclear if the two women in the other vehicle were targeted.

Authorities believe a third vehicle was involved, however, do not have a vehicle description.

Officers expect northbound lanes to be closed for another couple hours or so.
