COMMACK, N.Y. -- Police say a Long Island man drove drunk, rammed a police car and then fled before eventually being arrested.

Suffolk County police say a sergeant stopped 26-year-old Wymann Wiggins at about 4 a.m. Saturday in Commack.

Police say Wiggins backed into the police vehicle several times, then fled in his car.

Officers deployed used stop sticks to puncture the suspect's tires.

Police say Wiggins crashed in Huntington Station and started running.

Wiggins was arrested after a foot pursuit on charges including driving while intoxicated, fleeing a police officer, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance.

Wiggins is scheduled for arraignment Sunday in Central Islip. It was not clear if he had an attorney.
