Man shot in east central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are searching for the suspect involved in a shooting that sent one man to the hospital in east central Fresno.

It happened at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Dakota and Maple.

Detectives say the victim is a known gang member and was uncooperative with investigators, but he did tell police that he was working on his car in his driveway when he was shot.

Officers say this is the second time he has been shot at this location. He has refused to tell officers whether the suspects walked up or shot him from a car.

Police are now questioning neighbors to get a description of the shooter

The man was transported to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
