Mom's Club of Merced drop off gift bags to law enforcement

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- A group of mothers organized a special surprise today for local law enforcement today.

The Mom's Club of Merced does a service project each month, and for March they decided to show some love to the Merced Sheriffs Department, officers with the Merced Police Department and the U.C. Merced Police Department. They made their rounds, dropping off gift bags filled with snacks and other goodies for the officers, as a gift of thanks for the work they do every day.

For their drop off at the sheriff's department, they made special gift baskets for the family of Lucas Hukill -- a deputy who died last month from a rare form of cancer.

The Mom's Club is an international organization, dedicated to providing daytime support to mothers around the world.
