FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man and woman are in the hospital on Tuesday night in critical condition after a shooting in west central Fresno.

It started at 10 p.m. at Fairmont and Holt near Shaw and Marks Avenues.

Fresno police say someone approached a car with three men and two women inside and opened fire.

The victims were found ten minutes later at Clinton and Marks Avenues.

The male driver was shot in the arm, and a female passenger was shot in the head. The woman was taken into surgery at a Fresno hospital.

Both victims are listed in critical condition.

Investigators are still looking for the suspect. No arrests have been made.

"Right now, we just have a vague description of the suspect as a black male adult wearing a gray hoodie," said Fresno Police Lt. Bill Dooley.

The three others in the vehicle at the time of the shooting were not hurt. They are cooperating with the police.
