Two South Valley teenagers pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to killing a boy from Avenal.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two South Valley teenagers pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to killing a boy from Avenal.

Police arrested 18-year-old Steven Lomeli and 17-year-old Darron Brumley in July. They're accused of shooting and killing 14-year-old Yovani Hernandez. The boy was shot multiple times down the street from his home.

Investigators say both suspects are gang members who lured the victim to his death. They are expected back in court at the end of the month for a pre-trial hearing.
