Lawnmower theft suspects open fire on victim

FRESNO, Calif. -- Madera Police say Alan Ochoa, Cesar Cruz and Jonathan Victorino stole two lawnmowers from the backyard of a Madera resident on Sunday night.

Police say the victim caught the suspects in the act, but they opened fire with a revolver. Bullets from the gun hit a car and house just a few feet away from the victim.

Police say they found the suspects in a local drive-through a few minutes later. The suspects were arrested and the lawnmowers were returned to their owners.
