Ferguson Rock Slide Solutions

The rock slide shut down highway 140 between mariposa and Yosemite National Park in April of 2006. Caltrans installed temporary bridges to allow traffic around the slide, but large tour passes are not able to cross them. Now Caltrans is proposing three possible permanent solutions that include tunneling through the mountain or building a viaduct.
