Fairmead Water Concerns

January 13, 2008 12:00:00 AM PST
The drinking water in a north valley town may still be dangerous, even after two broken water wells started working again Saturday.City leaders in Fairmead are still advising people to boil all their water, at least until Tuesday.

The wells broke down Thursday and the fire department had to pass out drinking water to residents.

Now that both the wells are working again, the city will send water samples to the Madera County Office of Environmental Health.

They should know whether the water is safe to drink by Tuesday.
