Madera Police were still on the scene of the homicide on Tuesday Morning collecting evidence and searching for clues.
It happened around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. Officers say a young man came home from school and found his 18-year-old girlfriend dead in the living room of the house they shared with his parents.
Police say she died from blunt force trauma and had been dead for a couple of hours before she was found.
Detectives say there is no sign of forced entry and they do not consider her boyfriend a suspect at this time.
Police have not yet released the young woman's name.
