Clovis Firefighters Going Green

KFSN From the outside, Fire Station One fits right into the old-town feel, with brick walls, folding barn doors and a facade modeled after a historic elementary school.

But from the inside, this new $5.8 million dollar facility sports the latest in firefighter-friendly rooms and energy-saving technology such as appliances that turn off automatically and lights with motion sensors.

It's been nearly 30 years since Old Town Clovis had a fire station. But recent population growth created a need for service there once again.

The grand opening and open house for the public is Saturday, January 26th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the corner of Pollasky and Seventh in Old Town Clovis.
