The trail is a big loop that runs through... Sanger, Reedley and the rural areas near Fowler, Selma and Kingsburg.
The trees look bare now, but these pictures from 2005 show orchards in the height of their bloom.
Organizers say there's a reason they kick off the trail so early in the season.
Fred Mcnairy, Sanger Blossom Trail Representative: "We're holding it at the very beginning, the very beginning, so people, it's in their minds over the next six, six weeks."
Blossom trail organizers say unlike years past, they don't have a special poster this year.
However, they will hold a contest for next year's poster artwork.
That competition will take place this coming October.
