Detectives say the two thieves were trying to take as much metal and wiring as they could from the home. But while they did it, they apparently crossed the telephone line and triggered an automatic call to 911.
Deputies showed up at the house and caught the men in the act.
They arrested Daniel Avila and Jose Armando Garza on burglary charges.
