Gavin Newsom for Governor?

3/9/2008 Sacramento Newsom says it's premature to publicly talk about a possible campaign, but he says people have talked to him about it privately.

He's also raised his profile by traveling across the state to make speeches about global warming and same sex marriage.

The list of potential Democratic candidates also includes former Governor Jerry Brown, former candidate Steve Westly, and L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
