March for Justice

Fresno A few dozen people took part in this morning's march for justice.

Some protested the war in Iraq, while others focused their messages on issues facing the African-American community, like gang activity and education.

Floyd Harris, National Action Network, says "It's time for black people to take control of their own history and stop letting the government dictate our history. It's time for us to start reading and organizing and mobilizing around the legacy of what king did."

The march led people into a church where they got a lesson on black civil rights leaders, educators, and business leaders.
