PG&E Substation Proposal in Auberry

3/6/2008 Fresno PG&E officials spoke to a packed house at Auberry's Public Library on Wednesday evening. They told the crowd the Central Valley's growing population needs clean renewable energy.

PG&E showed two possible routes with six locations for a new substation. But some people are worried a substation would bring down property values and cause health problems.

PG&E officials say plans for actual development have yet to be drawn up. Construction on either site would not start until 2010.
